Toowoomba Wedding Photographer + Rohan and Jouwana + St James Anglican Church + Gabbinbar Homestead

Rohan and Jouwana met through a mutual friend in early 2017 and their love for each other grew quickly with Rohan asking for Jouwana's hand in marriage later that year. Rohan even proposed in front of Jouwana's family. I have personally known Rohan since I was a teenager and it was so wonderful to capture his and Jo's wedding day. The happy couple had their ceremony at St James Anglican Church Toowoomba, with the reception following at Gabbinbar Homestead. Close family and friends whitnessed them both say their I Do's in what is a beautiful church. Once arrived at Gabbinbar Homestead guests were treated to delicious and first-class food and hospitality by wait staff. We spent the remainder of the afternoon roaming and photographing around the beautiful Gabbinbar grounds. As the cloud cover over and insited on staying and bringing with it rain, we headed indoors to begin the festivities. I just love weddings where my clients bring their own interests into the wedding and this was the case with Rohan and Jouwana. On entering the receptioin, Rohan had surprised Jouwana with their bridal party holding up lightsabers for the bride and groom to walk under (a nod to Rohan's keen interest in Star Wars). This was also paired with the Star Wars theme song playing in the background. So cool! The remainder of the reception was enjoyed with heartfelt speeches, amazing food and of course dancing up a storm in the Ballroom. Enjoy these photos and feel free to get in contact if you are looking at having a Gabbinbar Wedding and need a photographer to capture your day. Matt.
